What happened today at Barcelona sickens me.
The other thing that I can't believe is the lack of media coverage. I'd expect to see shit like that in countries like Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, but now that the police have used excess force on peaceful protesters in the EU, there are no European politicians to voice their concern, no high profile leaders to condemn the actions of the police or the ones who made the decision to use violence against peaceful demonstrators.
The news talk about "clashes" between police and the demonstrators. Give me a break. What happened was unjustified, one-sided police aggression toward non-aggressive demonstrators.
How the media or the politicians see no reason to at least discuss this on a larger scale is beyond me. Look, your own people, young and old, have been protesting against the current political situation FOR WEEKS now, and it's spreading rapidly all over Europe (to Greece and to the Syntagma Square in Athens, for example). Tens of thousands are not a minority. Something's wrong, and the state isn't going to fix it with batons.
